Widex Hearing Aids

Widex has a wide variety of programmable hearing aids in behind-the ear (BTE), in-the-ear (ITE) and in-the-canal (ITC) styles. First, there is the "QUATTRO" series which provides four memories accessed via a hand-held remote control. The "QUATTRO" series is available for mild to moderately severe and severe hearing losses and is available in BTE, ITE and ITC models. Second, there is the "DUO" series which provides two memories accessed via a hand-held remote control. The "DUO" is available in BTE, ITE and ITC styles and can be fit to hearing losses ranging from mild to severe. Third, there is the "LOGO" series which is also available in BTE, ITE and ITC styles and provides two memories accessed via a toggle switch on the hearing aid and can also be fit to hearing losses ranging from mild to severe.

Finally, Widex recently introduced the first fully digital hearing aid. It is called "SENSO" and is available in behind-the- ear and in-the-canal styles. It is hoped that digital technology will provide an amplified signal which will sound more "natural" than previous technology and will provide significantly better understanding of speech in noise. Research is underway at this facility to try and determine if this new technology yields significantly better performance than previous technologies.
