Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emission (DPOAE)
DPOAE testing has been used in the past as a research
tool to correlate DPOAE amplitude with degree of hearing
loss in the elderly population. Current clinical
applications of DPOAE are limited and primarily involve
evaluation of patients with cochlear dysfunction.
