Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR)
Owing to the fact that this is an adult otolaryngology facility,
otoneurologic ABR testing is the primary focus.
We regularly evaluate those patients with retrocochlear signs
to rule out auditory nerve and auditory brainstem dysfunction.
On occasion, patients whose behavioral audiologic test results
are inconsistent are also evaluated with ABR threshold
measures to obtain inFRrmation about peripheral hearing sensitivity.
